Crystal Visions Associates (CVA) is the business structure that supports my many diverse enterprises. I have been serving the needs of the video production community for over 30 years. Currently I provide a wide range of technical services to the Southern California region.

VIDEO FACILITIES:
I offer video systems design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of your production environment. Including service contracts and telephone consultations to "talk you through" problems that suddenly arise. Please check out some of the facilities I have engineered by clicking on this link:

FACILITIES DESIGN:
Over the years I have designed numerous production facilities and suites from the ground up. This included working with the client in the development of the design goals, technical and architectural design. In many cases after the design phase was complete I supervised construction, acted as the purchasing agent. In all cases was the lead for the technical design and installation.
The :30 Airborne is an example of a turnkey installation. At the time the :30 Airborne was producing 700 spots on a slow week. It took several months to complete the job, but production continued through this period with only 2 days of down time for the transition.

Since the :30 Airborne I have worked on the design builds of Fox6 XETV News, KABC's Move to their new facilities in Glendale, Trinity Broadcasting's Router & production system rebuild in Irvine as well as their 10 channel Master control, National Semiconductor's Studio/edit facilities in Santa Clara, Cal State Northridge Film & Television Design, SDSU athletic department's video training support, Master control rooms for ESPN LA Live and the list goes on.

LOCATION ENGINEERING:
I am available to provide location-engineering services, equipment rentals and staffing referrals for your production.

PRODUCTION FREELANCE:
If you staff your productions using freelance crew, I can help you out. I am an old hand at location video engineering, camera operation, and tape operation and tech direction. I have expertise in location sound, post production audio and nonlinear audio editing on the Avid Audio Vision. Not to mention I have expertise in traditional CMX online editing, Avid media composer and adobe Primmer CS-4. For more on my editing skills click on the following link:

TIME LAPSE PHOTOGRAPHY:
I have been shooting time lapse stock footage of the Southern California area for 7 years and can offer you Emmy Award* winning images for your production, or can shoot to your specific requirements. Presently, I have over 5000 feet of 16 mm time lapse transferred to video and ready to give your production that "something extra".
